[EDIT: old title: Anybody with the Hifidelio Pro Hardware installed bigger HD?]
As this thread has turned into a really nice result, i modified the title,
Wie man hier im Thread sehen kann, gibt es nun ein wirklich sehr nützliches Tool, mit dem die ursprüngliche Frage beantwortet ist. Deshalb habe ich den Titel entsprechend geändert ...
Reading through the forum, it seems all people having installed bigger harddisks are ones which have the Hifidelio basic with or without pro update.
I haven't seen anyone yet with the Hifidelio Pro Hardware with a different harddisk...
My efforts to install an other hd have been unsuccesfull so far;
my first attempt was with a Maxtor 300GB/7200
My most recent attempt was with a Samsung Spinpoint 250GB/5400rpm, I figured this was closest to the 160GB Samsung inside, with biggest chance on success.
Now maybe I'm doing something wrong
I don't have Linux, but I assumed my version 2.0 rescue disc would partition and format a disc when choosing the DELETE option. Maybe this is not the case ?
Or maybe my version 2.0 rescue disk is different from the older versions ?
Are there any (freeware) Windows tools that let me do a (low-level) disk-copy of disks with Linux partions ? Maybe somebody could help me with a stripped down Linux boot disc ?
I'm a bit frustrated now; the 300GB was not a waste, but the Samsung 250GB/5400 was specifically bought for my Hifidelio...
