Hallo Bastel,

selbst eingebaut habe ich ein solches Display nicht. Ich hatte lediglich vor einiger Zeit mal hier im Forum einen Displaydefekt eingebracht, bei dem es sich, wie ich feststellen mußte, um einen Hardwaredefekt handelte. Diesen Defekt habe ich von Rö-Hifi beseitigen lassen. Ich hatte allerdings noch Garantie drauf.
Das Display leuchtet nun wieder in altem Glanz. Der Versand hat gut geklappt und die Kommunikation war sogar richtig freundlich. Kann über den Shop nur Gutes berichten, über den Einbau gar nichts!

Kommt darauf an, was da als Ersatzteil geliefert wird. Das Display sitzt auf einer kleinen Platine .. wenn die dabei ist .. kein Problem, kann man selbst tauschen. ... was vermutlich so auch laufen wird. Löten muss man ziemlich sicher nix.

I have bought a replacement display - and tried to replace it...

Erm - it started easy enough, but I ran into problems removing the front panel of the Hifidelio (it seems to be connected to the Disk Drive...)

Anyway - has anyone performed a replacement before and documented this? I want to make sure I don't break things...

I did not try removing the front-panel, but I'm very sure it's not connected to the CD-drive. You can remove the CD-drive by removing the 4 small screws, 2 at each side (Torx 6 if I remember correctly).

The hole front is mounted with two srews at the side and snapped in with four little brackets. Then you must disssemble the whole front to get access to the display pcb. Good luck! Laughing

I tried to do that today - removed all the screws (2 on each side) and then tried to remove the panel... the bottom started to move fine - but the top brackets didn't move at all. Do I have to remove the CD drive in order to do this? Or just use a little bit more force?

I don't want to break my beloved Fidelio Smile

Noch einmal zum Ersatzdisplay: Bei roe-hifi.de sagte man mir, dass das Teil nicht mehr lieferbar ist. HifiDelio GmbH hat den Vertrieb von anderen Lieferanten unterbunden. Stellt sich für mich die Frage: Ist das ein Standard Display, das man irgendwo bekommen kann oder ein spezielles von Hermstedt entwickelt?
